10 - Coconut Point
The end of Aqua Road leads to Coconut Point, the only homesite at the cul-de-sac. The southwestern shore has mangroves growing on it while the southeastern and northeastern shores are clay-lined banks with massive yellow-green orchids protruding out from land over the gurgling shores. The northeastern shoreline has a wonderful cool onshore ocean breeze that somehow smells fresh and salty at the same time. The shore has a unique "sonic" experience, with bumps and gurgles pulsing to the rhythmic sounds of the sea as water gets trapped and released from underground hollows, once the home of long-gone palm roots. This is topped off by the soulful sounds of cooing doves. There are lovely views of the Cumberland Hills and mangroves across the bay.
