12 - Tapir Terraces
The shoreline on this property is the highest on the peninsula averaging over eight feet above the high water mark, with steep white cliffs resembling a smaller version of the White Cliffs of Dover on the English Channel. There are giant kingfisher nests in these cliffs. Iguanas raiding these nests hang at the entrances to the burrows like prehistoric rock art. The shore is decorated with the most amazing red and white-speckled pebbles. The property is covered with thick brush and deciduous trees, with the largest trees along the shore bent back from the sea by the ever-present onshore breezes.
